Death Valley Girls

An old drawing from 1999, retooled for 2020. And by “retooled” what I really mean is “put some clothes on them.” The original drawing was the final page from a 4-page strip that was featured in a Slovenian Arts Festival catalogue as a notable submission. Had it been a prize winner, I’d have been an invited guest to the festival itself. Anyway, here it is upgraded as a poster for Death Valley Girls, which is such a perfect name for a band that I’m surprised no-one came up with it sooner. Ever wondered what it would have sounded like if Ron Asheton from The Stooges and Ronnie Spector from the Ronettes had jammed with Question Mark and the Mysterians? Check it out:
