George Shaw: King Typical

A new George Shaw painting – King Typical – exhibited at the recent Chicago Expo, but not part of his current exhibition – A Corner Of A Foreign Field – now showing at the Yale Centre for British Art in Connecticut, USA. Last week there was a live stream interview with George Shaw, conducted by the exhibition curator Mark Hallet, which is highly entertaining and recommended for anyone who wonders why the hell anyone would want to paint something like this.
