The World Is As Soft As Lace

If I could I would change the world
But you know my visions they’re absurd
And all my great plans get blurred
By the softest touch, the gentlest word

This is the gates to Scarth Park in Morley, Leeds. At the top stands Morley Hall, which before the 1970’s was a maternity hospital where I and thousands of other fellow Leodians were born. When I was a kid it was completely overgrown with bushes full of the strange remnants left by young ne’er do wells on their vespertine prowlings.
