I took this photo outside our local (and doomed) library. Who did this? Why? Then it struck me that if you transported it to a gallery in London, no-one would questions its validity as an ‘installation’. As it is, it was just another example of unintentional suburban surrealism that can sometimes jolt you out of your daily sleepwalk.
